We are looking for personable and confident students to join our fundraising team! Pay starts at $10.50/hour. Students must be able to commit to three shifts per week (one of them on Sunday) and be comfortable with speaking to alumni/parents/friends of the University while asking four times for donations. Student Fundraiser
Pay range: $10.50 per hour. Full-time/Part-time: Part-time. Employment period: Shifts are scheduled around the academic calendar (including breaks). Fundraisers must be available to work, at minimum, 3 shifts per week, including 1 Sunday shift and 2 weekday shifts. Shifts are as follows: Sunday early: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sunday late: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Position Summary: Student Fundraisers will use CampusCALL software to contact friends, alumni, and parents of current students to secure donations to the University of Idaho, update contact information, and answer questions about the University. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Acquire, renew, and upgrade donors for the University of Idaho. Establish and cultivate a positive relationship with each person contacted. Verify and update all demographic information. Accurately record the result of each phone call. Minimum Qualifications: Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent command of the English language, excellent reading skills, a clear speaking voice, acute attention to detail, excellent active listening skills, an ability to demonstrate persistence in overcoming objections without sounding pushy, an ability to accept direction, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to achieve goals.
